 welcomes qualified individuals in several categories including Advisory, Affiliate, and Student Membership. Membership enables you to participate in several AAAA member-only activities, educational opportunities, and networking events in addition to recognition of your status as an experienced or emerging financial advisory professional. 


 

Advisory Level Membership

About the Advisory Level Membership

Eligible candidates include those who hold or have obtained FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 6, 7, 9 & 10, National Commodities Futures (NFA) Series 3, Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) Series 63, 65 or Series 66 qualifications are also eligible for listing. These qualifications indicate a comprehensive understanding of investment products, regulatory requirements, and ethical practices.

Recognized advanced degrees such as an MBA, Ph.D. or Ed.D or advanced certifications CFP® (Certified Financial Planner), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) CIMA® (Certified Investment Management Analyst) or MFP® (Master Financial Planner) will also enhance your application’s acceptance. These certifications serve as a testament to a member’s advanced knowledge and competency in the field of Financial Planning and Wealth Management.

 

Affiliate Level Membership

 

About the Affiliate Level Membership

AAAA values the diverse range of professionals involved in financial planning and wealth management activities for clients. We recognize that there are individuals whose occupations involve indirect participation in financial planning and/or wealth management activities or who work as employees within financial services, tax, or legal firms. While these individuals may not meet the specific requirements for Advisory Membership, they are still eligible for a distinct category of membership known as Affiliate Membership.

 

 

Student Level Membership

 

About the Student Level Membership

AAAA provides a special membership category called Student Membership for individuals who are enrolled as full-time students in an Undergraduate program at an Institution of Higher Learning or pursuing a master’s degree program in Planning, Business, Finance, Law, Tax, or Accounting.

Student Membership offers valuable resources and benefits tailored to support their educational and professional growth.

The Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA) is excited to provide a space dedicated to fostering the growth and development of the next generation of financial professionals, as well as aiding those who wish to transition into our dynamic industry.

 

How is AAAA proactively serving its members?

1. AAAA collaborates with sponsoring and partnering firms to enhance the demand for Black/African American financial professionals and promote their inclusion in pivotal decision-making polices.

2. AAAA offers comprehensive practice management support to licensed Black/African American financial professionals across different generations, including Millennials, Generation X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation.

3. We work to enhance the well-being of the Black/African American community in America through AAAA’s client Symposium initiatives. These Symposiums are focused on financial wellness and financial planning; both aimed at improving financial awareness and overall financial health of the Black/African American Community.
